esata drive gone

esata drive gone

i have checked cables and have checked to see if the drive has power problems.

i have a cal-digit 2 bay (pci-x) that is not being recognized. i do have tech tools as a utility. what can i do to get this drive recognized?

So disk utility doesn't see anything? What about the S2VR Manager?

Does it power on and drives spin up?

thanks shane, i want to send you a years supply of rice-a-roni.

cal-digit seems to think it is the power supply and they are over nighting it to me.

Next time, call them directly. Saves me the trouble BATSIGNALLING people.

But hey, Michael did that with Black-Magic too...and they responded.

i had a similar issue with my cal digit svrduo fan and they responded immediately as well. and the drive has been perfect ever since - gotta love those cal digit folks!

CalDigit's Customer Service sounds pretty solid. I'm gonna look them over for my next SATA RAID.

Aja did the same awesome thing for me when the port on the Kona LHE wiggled loose. They overnighted me a new board - no questions asked (well...just the serial off my board).

I say it in every thread: To save a few bucks, I will NEVER sacrifice good solid Customer Service.

just to further show that caldigit is crazy on the spot - one day there was a joking discussion here on the forum about their green tshirts. i chimed in and said i wanted one...

the next day when i got to the office jon [from caldigit] had left a voice mail on the office line asking my size!

with service like this. i think i will stick to cal digit for all of my future drives. not even apple has service like this.
