Apple needs to fix the issue in Final Cut Pro where when opening up a project after it has been saved and closed, some speed changes are not as they were when the project was previously opened.
First I thought the issue was going from version 5 to version six. Many audio files that required speed changes no longer had those speed changes on them when opening that project file in version six.
Now I'm finding that a clip that was set to constant 100.32% is now variable speed and running somewhere around 40%. It was fine when I closed and quit final cut pro and now it's completely screwed up. This not operator error.
There has also been an issue where clips within a multiclip are no longer in sync.
What is operator error is that I didn't protest loudly enough that we shouldn't upgrade from 5 to 6.

So the clip has physically made itself longer in the timeline since you last saw it?

i've had speeds change when 5.1 projects have been opened in FCP6.
(the clips were the original duration)
i haven't seen the just "change" in 6.
which doesn't of course mean it doesn't happen.
hang on, i just noticed this is the features request list.
ok, i'll join in: fix everything that's broken!
maybe we should continue this discussion in the Cafe?
