Cant see audio wave forms in ViewerPosted by drceballos
Hello,
Im sure this is just some sort of a settings issue, but I can't see my audio wave forms once i load my clips (either from a bin or sequence) into the Viewer. All i see are two black bars where my audio wave forms would normally be. My audio sequence settings is 16 bit 48 KHz and my media is 48 kHz as well thanks, DR Ceballos
Thanks for the replies Derek, Michael and Jude,
Yes, i did empty the trash after i dumped my waveform cache, and yes there is audio and yes the audio is linked. *sigh* however i is still have black bars blocking my ability to see wave forms in the Viewer. any additional help is very much appreciated Thanks, DR Ceballos
Send us a screenshot of what you see please - also can you zoom out on the Viewer when you load the clip into it.

[s99.photobucket.com] here is a screen shot of the problem. when i double click my audio to load into the viewer, i get these, black bars that blocks me from seeing the waveforms. im editing on version 5.1.4 and yes i can zoom in and out of the viewer. thanks so much, DR Ceballos
Damn its catching! I just got it myself!
If you load another clip into the viewer on mine it goes but move around or zoom in/out too much and it goes black! It maybe a QT7.3 and/or Leopard thang - what are you Mac Hardware/Software setup specs Doctor? Looks like a display glitch to me, similar to when your Browser "fragments" into disconnected pieces and can't be selected properly. I've never seen it before, either, but this kind of glitch is, as Ben suggests, often related to software updates. The good thing is, it's rarely permanent and may go away with a restart, preference dump, or re-install.
