digitizing quality of fs-100 dvcpro hd versus dvpro hd tape thru firewire

I'm working on a project that has footage shot with the Panasonic HVX200 using the Firestore (fs-100) as well as DVCPRO tape. The FS-100 footage was recorded with settings DVCPRO HD 720 24p at 24 fps. The tape footage that i'll be using was recorded to a DVCPRO tape with the same settings 720 24p HD at 24fps.

My question is, if i capture the DVCPRO tape footage thru firewire to FCP, will the quality be equivalent (or close to) to my footage digitized off the FS-100? I'm trying to keep a consistent look as well a work flow that will minimize render time, conforming, etc.

Any ideas or tips on what the best way to work with this project? thanks!

rj

i'm wondering in anyone can reccomend what i should do here to keep my footage

The camera doesn't record DVCPRO HD to tape, only to P2 or disk. It only records DV to tape.
