Footage upside down - render - RT settings?
November 28, 2007 03:33AM
I'm cutting on FCP6, footage shot on a Panasonic hvx202. Apparently because of the camera adaptor (with no flip module), the footage comes into FCP upside down. I put a Rotate filter on the clips to turn them up the right way, but I need to render every time I do a cut.

Does anyone know a way around all this rendering during the edit? What should my RT settings be?

Cheers
Maggie

Andreas wrote a tool for this, called 'Rotate' I think. Check it out here [www.spherico.com]

that's a worry.

Andreas's app is simply a way to batch process the addition of the FCP Flop Filter,
so you'll get the same results.

do you have to render the footage when you first cut it into the timeline?
a simple rotate of flop really shouldnt requitre a render

go to the RT menu, Top Left of the Timeline, and switch from "Safe" to "Unlimited"
