audio sync problem in FCS2

I recently upgraded to FCS2 from FCS1. Using OS 10.4.10. Been working on a project since FCP 4.5. Have had no problems until now. Audio on all timelines is generally out of sync. The amount varies, from a few frames to kinda-sorta out. Seems like the audio is lagging mostly. If I stop the playback, then start again from the same point, the sync changes. Sometimes, after doing this 2 or 3 times, it plays in perfect sync. Basically, it's all over the place. Editing in Apple Intermediate Codec (transcoded from HDV). As I stated, have had NO problems until FCS2.

Also, I've seen similar things with DVDs, if that adds anything.

Any help much appreciated.
