Log and Transfer (Why Doesn't Scene/Shot/Take info go into name?)

On HDV I have to log and transfer. I appreciate apple putting all the scene/shot/take/angle info in the interface. But it appears that only the name info carries to the bin.

This seems kind of silly. Am I doing something wrong?

Use log and capture for HDV. Make sure your easy setup is one of the HDV codecs, and that your camera is not set to down convert during capture (I think it's ilink *off* that you want)

I have the HG10 and it uses USB not Firewire. When I try Log and Capture, it doesn't see my camera. I think because it is not firewire with device control. Any thoughts.

Start a new thread and make sure you give the Mac you are using plus all other info you can think of.

AVCHD will not work unless you have a Intel Mac.
