FCP error w/new drive

My FCP Gurus,

After installing a new boot drive and reinstalling Tiger and FCP 5, I get a note that FCP quits" unexpectedly".
I have tried trashing preferences.
Note: In Preferences there is no "com.apple.FinalCut Pro.plist"to trash, only 3 files on the datafolder.
