Hi guys,

Has anyone had any experience captioning a 1080 project in FCP? If so, did you do it in-house? What did you use? If you had to farm it out, who did you use? What was their turn-around time? How much did a 30-minute project cost?

Details: 1080/30 project. FCP 6.0.2 with Kona 3 card. Will be delivered HDCam for broadcast.

Thanks!

I have mine done at dub houses or post facilities that have that ability. The Post Group, Lightning Dubs, Point 360. Cost? Dunno, I just edit, I am not the post supervisor. And it takes as long as your program is...because they dub it and then encode it while it dubs. BUT, you have to send a timecoded script to a company that makes closed captioned files, like the Transcription Company, and they make the file that is used to encode the CC onto the tape.
