Compressor hangs up on import

Using an IntelMac, 3GigRam, FCPStudio2, OSTiger. I work in IMX50 & DVCPro50 mostly. When I export a sequence to Compressor it works fine until I actually submit the job. It cranks through maybe 70% of the sequence and then hangs there...forever. I've only waited maybe 20 minutes before quitting out of Compressor so I can't say "forever" but you get the idea. The pieces I edit are usually under 2-minutes so we're not talking a lot of video here. Thoughts, suggestions??

No big deal. I use export Quicktime conversion and things are just fine, but this is a curious issue for other workflows?
