FCP 5.0.4 to FCP2 (not up-grade)

"When you upgrade to Final Cut Studio 2, there are a number of application-support resources that also get upgraded. Earlier versions of the applications in Final Cut Studio are not compatible with these newer support resources, and should not be used on a computer that has been upgraded to Final Cut Studio 2."

2.7 GHZ Power PC G5, 3.5 gig ram, OS10.4.11

The above information was on Apples support. Do I need to uninstall 5.0.4 first or just install the new FCP (not an up-grade)? I don't have any projects I'm worried about. It's been so long I forget, I just remember some confusion about serial #'s which I'm terrible about keeping straight. This is all because I am going to dive into HDV.. Thanks for any advice.

I would suggest NOT upgrading FCP 5.04 to Studio 2. Much better success loading everything from scratch.
