May 12, 2008 05:55PM
I am outputting to DigiBeta and getting dropped frames. So i am trying to do an edit to tape but I get 1 or 2 black frames when i do this.

does anyone know a setting I might have incorrect?

I am using NTSC footage and with a AJA LHe card.

Thanks, Mark

What sequence codec and what interface to your drive? Details would be nice.

Seq settings are the aja 525 pro-res 29.97

Serial ata with a drive that plays pro-res HD fine,

I am outputing a 23.98 seq at the moment and the edit to tape works perfectly!

It must be a a timecode issue? Could it be a drop frame thing?
I do not see were to change this in the edit to tape window.

Thanks, Mark

It's a Frame Rate thing...your sequence should be 23.98 and your video playback settings should match. What are your Aja Control Panel Settings? What version are you on? If you own an Aja LHe, call Aja Tech Support and they will walk you through setting up your edit to tape step by step.

The problem i am having is with the 29.97 footage the 23.98 is fine. The 23.98 seq is 23.98 the 27.97 seq is 29.97.

i do not think it is an AJA problem. AJA v4.0 output settings are 525 29.97.

Thanks, mark

I started over from scratch and used "easy Set up" for some reason this changed something that i could not change when i was setting the sequence and output settings independently.

thanks for the help anyways!

Mark!
