Rather befuddling.... fx advice!

I'm working on a project which the director requires a 'Bourne Ultimatum' type effect such as that seen in the 'flashback' type scenes.

We're after that light streaking type effect.

If anyone knows of how and where this might be or can be done it'd be much appreciated!

Can you post a screen cap? Never seen the movie.

Hmmm....they did that either in camera or most likely in telecine. I'll have to watch that again...

Thanks for the replies guys, i forced myself to delve into the world of after effects and i found a way of doing it there playing with levels effects, fast blur and changing the transfer mode....

Looks like my journey into AE has finally started.....!
