Is there a way to make note of duplicate clips in the timeline?

Hello to all,

Working in FCP6. I have several clips and I want to make sure I have not repeated clips in my timeline. I remember in my Avid days if I had a duplicate clip in the timeline I'd get a colored line running through the clip letting me know the clip was elsewhere in the timeline. Does Final Cut Pro do this?

As always, thanks in advance!

There's supposed to be an option called "Show Duplicate Frames" (Sequence Settings - Timeline Options), but it works as often as it doesn't. Another workaround is to use APPLE-F to do a "Find All" in your timeline for a certain clip's name, or to use that Find function to search for a particular timecode.

Thanks Derek! ;-)

Hey did you get my email about the show "African American Short Films"? I visited your website and at least one of the films you've edited may fit into the show. I sent you an email via your website. Email me offlist for questions or to receive the call-for-entries again.

Thanks again!

Peace,
Lisha
