Best Way to use XDCAM 1080p30 in a SD29.97 timeline

I experimented with XDCAM 1080p24 and FCP and found the pulldown in
FCP to be bloody awful; so this time we shot footage at 1080p30, to at least
mitigate the 125% speed increase on any 24p clip on a 29.97 timeline.

Now I am testing the raw 1080p30 XDCAM brought into FCP with the XDCAM
transfer software and notice the motion scintillation that occurs on zooms and pans.

Are there any filters or methods out there to make the footage at least look as good
as the 720x486 (480) DVCam footage that populates the timeline as well.

Any suggestions or tips and tricks are most welcome!
