Compressor DOES NOT work properly

Can someone tell me how to get the MPEG-2 codec back into the quicktime conversion for exporting. I am forced to use compressor and it is not exporting properly. Compressor sends either half of my audio file or a partial video file. Someone please answer the following.

1. How do I get back my MPEG-2 export setting from Final Cut Pro (newest version 6.04)
Forcing me to use compressor is very Microsoft like.

2. If Compressor is my only option, why is it exporting only partial audio or video from my timeline?
My in and out markers are at beginning and end of my timeline.

Please advise

Thank You.

1. As far as I know, the MPEG-2 option is gone and there's no way to put it back in there manually. Lots of folks miss it, not sure if Apple will listen though.

2. Are you exporting via Compressor? Try exporting a full-size Quicktime Movie (NOT Conversion) and drop that into the Compressor program, then drag one of the DVD (MPEG-2 and ac3) presets onto it and 'Submit'. Does that work?
