Computer Monitor for FCP and Color - Dell Ultrasharp 2009W and 2208WFP good choices?

Hi,

Just about to dive in to learning Color which requires a monitor with at least 1680 x 1050 so I need a larger monitor.

I will be evaluating video color on a Sony PVM-14L2 Professional video monitor so correct video would be nice but if its decently close thats good enough.

In addition to doing a lot of work with video I do a lot of work with text so good text display is important.

Are the following Dell Monitors good choices? (There are a couple of really bad reviews for the colors of the 2009W).

Which is the better choice?

Anything substantially better in the same price range?

neither of those will display a full 1080 HD frame. id go for the 24"

the dell ultrasharp 24 is pretty much the popular leader around the forum

Dells are adequate for displaying software GUIs but don't expect them to offer accurate image quality.
