I posted this in the Color forum too but thought maybe I don't necessarily need to use the Color program. But I understand if the moderators delete this post.

I have footage of a little girl with sandy color hair on a wooden bridge. The camera man didn't white balance and it was a rainy day out. the color is very dull. What I need advide with is, the little girl's skin and hair along with the wooden bridge are close to the same color. I am trying to make the girl stand out and have a nice rich color without the bridge swallowing her.
what would you suggest?

Can you upload a still so we can have better idea of the shot? I may use a facelight in FCP. In color, you could try adding a vignette.

Is the luma at all different? You could try selecting the luma range in the 'limit effect' section of the 3 way colour corrector instead of the colour.

The luma is very similar. I will have to play around with it.
I won't be able to upload a picture of it till much later.
The vignette maybe my best option.

This is a job for Red Giant Software's Magic Bullet Colorista & it's power mask (allows masking & CC of certain areas of a clip).
