Need Professional knowledge.

I posted a week ago about problems with external SATA TOWERS.

Since than i read numerous theory about external drives towers ON MAC.

I just wanna know, is there a PROPER WAY to shut down those kinda towers.

Somebody told me that ON MAC you have to eject the drives first than shut down the MAC than the tower.

Is it true that YOU NEVER EJECT A SAS TOWER, it may cause directory problems...

So what is the TRUE way to do that operation, i want the truth...even if '' i can't handle the truth''.

It may sound a bit like a silly question but i wanna know the final answer.

Thanks so much guys.

I shut down my Mac, then shut down the drives. With eSATA, you can eject, then shut down, if you want. But that is true about SAS, do not eject before you shut down.

Just get into the practice of shutting down, then turning off external drives.

The reverse as well- power up the drives before powering on the mac.
