best sub-$500 encoder that can output flash video?

i've been using the Flash 8 video encoder to encode video, but I would like to look into what other more full-featured options are out there. Ideally, these are some features that would be great to have:

-Batch Encoding
-Ability to Save Presets
-Ability to Access the Flash codec in QT apps, like Compressor
-High-quality encoding of Flash 8 (and 9, if possible)
-The ability to use more than 1 CPU core at a time

I recently upgraded to a 2.8 8-core, and I've been enjoying encoding through Compressor, which is able to access all 8 cores for superfast encoding. So it really slows me down when I'm waiting 20 minutes for a 2-minute video to encode using the Flash 8 encoder.

In thinking about it, I don't really need another full-featured encoding program, because Compressor already handles pretty much everything I need. it's just the Flash video that bogs me down. If there was a nice Flash Codec out there that would allow me to do all these things from within Compressor, that would probably be ideal.

In terms of the options out there--I've seen a few things about Telestream/Flip4Mac products, but beyond that, I haven't really been in the market for such a tool in the past several years. What are you folks using?

Thanks.

well, i'm using H264 with the JW player.
looks like this:

Now, i'm using FFmpeg with a custom front end, but i have not made it for Mac yet.
There are other front end applications for mac though, just do a google search.

On windows, on a quad 3 gig, i render to H264 about 4 times FASTER than RT...
(as has happened in the sample above).

FFmpeg is FREE!
(but a front end app will set you back a few bucks, nothing to worry about....)

DV Kitchen looks like a decent option--do you know if it supports multi-core encoding? Or if the flash codec is accessible in QT apps like compressor?

hmmm....just downloaded the trial version of DV Kitchen, and it doesn't look like it can utilize more than 100% of 1 CPU core at a time. That's a deal-breaker for me as it doesn't really offer any advantage over the Flash 8 standalone encoder that I currently use.

looks like episode pro from telestream might be a way to go:
