'Light flash' transition

Does anyone know how I can create a 'light flash' transition in FCP 3.0 to cover up jump cuts? Or is there a plug-in I can buy that will enable me to do this?

Eureka also has the vapor across plug-in, but i'm not a big fan of it as it causes illegal levels.
