DOOD!!!
After updating, my MBP is showing random desktop images of Mike Horton in a SWIMSUIT CALENDAR!! MY EYES - IT BURNS!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T STOP IT!!! And there's a devilish voice coming out of my speakers...IT'S FILMAN!!! I just threw my MBP in the lake. Other than that, all is well here. When life gives you dilemmas...make dilemmanade.
A POSITIVE outcome from updating to 7.6 mid-project:
I was using After Effects CS4 / Keylight on some Tiger Woods green screen footage and was getting intermittent saturation flashes in RAM Preview (and ONLY in RAM Preview...isn't in the original file). Crazy-annoying. I tried everything. Then I ran the 7.6 Updater from Software Update...issue gone. When life gives you dilemmas...make dilemmanade.
Colin over at the "Discreet Cosine" blog claims that "Quicktime 7.6 adds support for demuxing MPEG-1 files. IE, you can open a .mpg file and export it to an H.264 file. For the first time in the history of quicktime, the resulting file will have both audio and video."
This correct? Michael Horton -------------------
Oh, never mind. Just re-read the support doc. Well, thats cool.

I haven't read anything too appalling about QT 7.6, so I'm going to take the great leap into the unknown.
But before I do so, will anyone hold my hand? I'm a little suspicious that the release coincides with a new Presidency, but don't fully understand why this unsettles me.
