Master Templates in effects FCP 6.05

I was just browsing and noticed Master Templates with folder called Basic White, Brush strokes, Curves etc.. What is the purpose of these?

They're integrated Motion templates. Motion templates that you can add and adjust somewhat in FCP.

If you open Motion you'll find the same templates there, but have more access to manipulation of layers and stuff.

Thank you... I am about to make a titanic effort to learn Motion.
