dude! you have encountered THE two most FATAL audio problems. you can try to fix it using a handful of half-baked approaches. but to be truly honest. its not going to get noticeably better without getting worse at the same time.
chalk it up to experience. and get you a good live event mic on camera as a backup like a sure vp88- its SP levels are high enough to handle most any live show and though its pretty directional, it beats the HELL outta over modulated SPLATTER... and it slightly kills echo as well. best $800 or so a live shooter will spend.
