fixing echo - big room

Hi - recently I shot an event and did not have a feed from the audio board to get clean audio. So what I got is the room level that sounds very roomy. is there a way to make this sound descent?

NOPE. echo is just slightly harder to fix than splatter. which means mostly NOT. you can use a combination of gates and noise removal but thats also going to greatly damage your desired sound...

ok, what about fixing a slightly over modulated audio feed that came from the audio board.
CameraB was hooked up to the audio board, but for some reason the audio is overmod

Attenuating low frequencies can sometimes help.

dude! you have encountered THE two most FATAL audio problems. you can try to fix it using a handful of half-baked approaches. but to be truly honest. its not going to get noticeably better without getting worse at the same time.

chalk it up to experience. and get you a good live event mic on camera as a backup like a sure vp88- its SP levels are high enough to handle most any live show and though its pretty directional, it beats the HELL outta over modulated SPLATTER... and it slightly kills echo as well. best $800 or so a live shooter will spend.

this isnt superb audio. but it was loud enough to ring your ears for the next 12 hours and came out reasonably listenable... with little if any over mod issues:
