Problems Recording Direct . No Tape

I am having problems recording a live to disc without recording on tape.

When I record direct from camera to hard drive

I keep getting the same error message

"Capture Now has reached the end of tape. All existing footage between
the point where you started the capture ad the end of the tape was
captured success


Any tips ?

You've told Final Cut that you're using a non-controllable device, right? What are your device-control and AV presets?

I'd get VeeScope Live to record to HD it's Awesome.

we use it, or should I say Dean uses it for the lafcpug meetings. Nice to have a 15inch viewer too.

Yea and it's even nicer when I record to my MacPro with my 23" now if I only had a 30" display.
