FX for smoothing reversal of scene

Using FCP 5.1.4 on Mac Intel.

I use to have an FX that smoothed the reversal process of a scene. I believe it was by Grame Nattress. Please direct to me the proper location in order to locate this FX.

Also I cannot find the FCP file for adding third party FX in my system. Where is the folder located?

the very handy G Reverse plugin can be found @ nattress.com , yes !

with the "free" set of plugins

drop the whole set in : home user/library/Application Support/FinalCut Pro System Support/Plugins and relaunch Fcp

now, you can also use the included Fx to invert field order and get a smooth reverse

If you are simply using -100% speed reverse

All you do is:

Select the clip

Use the "change speed" tool in FCP set to -100%

De-select the "Frame-Blending" check box

add the FCP shift fields filter and shift -1 or +1

This will give you a perfectly smooth 100% speed reverse.
