Work flow for 2 computers

Hi guys,
The answer may already be here, I just don't know the proper terminology.
I am trying to help edit a project on a separate computer. Having 2 people edit simultaneously to finish quicker. Sounds like a plan.
Right now all the clips are on one machine, say computer "A". What is the best way to move files to another computer, "B", edit them and move them back to "A"?
I thought this would be easy but I get the misconnected files issue. How do I move the files from "B" back to "A" without the project looking for files on drive "B"?

Thanks and happy new year to all,
Rick

You don't sound like you're working on a SAN. You will have to reconnect the media when you go to a separate machine. This is usually an uneventful process. If the drives on the second machine are given the same name (drive and folder) and keep the same file structure, you should be able to get away without reconnecting the media.

the way to avoid reconnecting is to name both drives exactly the same name,
and to maintain exactly the same folder structure on both.

Easy way to do it- clone it.
