ok where do i start difficult to explain I am not from the land of shakespear so bear my englishs

I have this

setup fcp 6.2
a sony HDV deck
and a dvcam tapes

one o my client has shot in HDV in normal dvcam 32 min tape ( pdvm - 32n) which i fail to understand how in 32 min tape he shot 55min of footage that too in HD

second he wants to edit full in HDV in FCP which is ok with me
my problem how do i put back the master in HDV ie in same tape dvcam 32min is it possible to do this

please help or tell me the process to go by is there any tuts available on this issue what setting do i set in the deck to capture in HDV and to put back in HDV is there anybody out there

32 min is if you shot in DVCAM mode. Shooting in DV mode, or HDV, then you get a full hour.

Yes, you can shoot HDV, then capture HDV, then PRINT TO VIDEO HDV. It will need to reconform, and there will be slight quality loss, but it is possible. HDV is not normally a mastering format, so it isn't too straightforward.
