Hi there,

Does anybody recognize the transition that is used on these interviews.
Transitions here
Almost a fade to white but more interesting.

Would very much like to use it. Really hope some one might be able to help me re create it!

Thanks in advance,

Tomo

Try TMTS' flash frame transition.

Thanks very much,

thats useful and it's similar but the ones Im trying to imitate don't seem to white out the whole screen.

Playing with the parameters - blur amount or max lumar - of TMTS's flash frame doesn't seem to be able to do quite the same. Can you se what I mean?

Any other ideas?

It's not a standard transition, it's a glow filter keyframed to the end portion of the out going clip and beginning portion of the incoming clip. Looks like a bit of blur ramped up too. A standard technique for video effects creators.

I remember when I first learned I could use filters as transitions. Whoa what a concept! the finger smiley

Oh great thanks. Yes this may be a concept I'm just about to have!

Would this mean having to use AE to use the filter? Or it can be used in the FC timeline?

Sorry for the incompetence!

Thanks again

Tomo

No, no need for AE. Just add a glow filter to the incoming clip and the outgoing clip, then keyframe how strong the effect is to be visible just the last few frames of the outgoing clip and the first few frames of the incoming clip.

Sounds harder than it is smiling smiley

It also looks very similar to FX Factory Pro's Glow Dissolve, just toned down a few notches.
