OT Stock Footage (Asia)Posted by paurray
hello gentlemen
Any one got any ideas where is a good place to get stock footage, mostly Asian!!! Is all as of now a little bit vague but it looks like any thing from Baghdad in Iran too Guangzhou in China! The idea being to show cultural diversity but some how to tie it all up in the end with lots of happy international people playing sport together in China!!! Guess that these two are the big players? [www.gettyimages.com] [www.framepool.com] Saw this one here in the forum looks like a new strategy, cheep and limited? [www.unlimitedstockmedia.com] Suggestions, tips? many thanks Paul
Getty is quite the big one here. "Unlimited" is good and cheaper but nowhere near the library of Getty. Artbeats is good. Pond5 is quite good. There are a thousand stock footage companies, all very good. Just depends on their search engine and if they got what you need. I'd imagine if you have an unlimited budget Getty is the place to go. But if all you need are images of cultural diversity, then just about all of them will give you what you need. Happy Searching.

The BBC also has a pretty nice library, if you have the budget, and it includes the Australian version, ABC, which will have lots of Asian stories since we are so close to them and rely on them economically.
