What's a good drive to take on the road while shooting? I have a couple of CalDigit VRs that I use at home and like. Going to be shooting DSLR, copying to laptop, then to drive in PM as a second storage on the road.

Any suggestions? Am thinking of another CalDigit VR, the 4 TB model which I can connect w/firewire 800. Weighs 6 pounds, might be overkill.

Thoughts?

Thanks, and happy 4th!

Stick with what you know - its a gym workout too and will keep your heart healthy! tongue sticking out smiley

You could get a couple of VR Mini if you really want to lighten your load. [www.CalDigit.com]

I've had a lot of success so far with the OWC Mecury Pro Q2 (4 bay raid).

Do you use shot put pro to offload your cards? It´s $99 and copies to to different storage locations in one go, printable reports, preserves file integrity,....
They have a free demo, check it out!
