export settings for pc dvd replication

The DVD company replicating DVDs from a movie I have cut in FCP asked for an AVI of it. They are using PCs. I duly sent them an AVI which they claim is losing sync progressively. The movie is 1080i cut on FCP7. What are the best export settings for this? Thanks, Chris R

What are they using for the encoding?

Is the file in sync if you play it back on your own system? Because if it plays in sync anywhere, then the problem is on their end. If you tried to play back 1080i HD from, say, a data DVD, you'd certainly have sync problems. Video files that are truly out of sync (rather than playing back out of sync) would never play in sync anywhere.

What I do is export from the mac as a proRes, then
port to the PC, use adobe media encoder to convert to avi on the pc.
check the mov for synch prior to export to avi on both the mac and pc.
should work.
fcp isn't great at avi exports sometimes.
