Set Poster Frame Issue - FCP 7

Hi all

I'm working through the Apple Pro Training Series Final Cut Pro 7 book at the moment and I'm up to the point where on pg221 it asks you to follow certain instructions to set a Poster Frame on a clip to use in Storyboarding.

Ive selected the clip, I'm in the Viewer window and Ive got the playhead at the correct point but when I select Ctrl-P or Mark - Set Poster Frame absolutely nothing happens.

Has anybody else had this problem? Does anybody know how to get over the problem?

Any help would be appreciated

Nothing will happen in the viewer, but is the poster frame not changing?

Thanks for the prompt reply. I actually stumbled over the answer myself... only took me 5 hours! Grrrr!

My browser was set to File list as opposed to Thumbnails so when I was trying to assign a new Poster frame in the Viewer, I was looking for the little black chevron shown in the Apple book on the Scrubber bar BUT it wasnt there.

Anyway when I went back to the browser and changed the layout to thumbnails I could all of a sudden actually see the poster frames being changed! Doh!!!

I guess this really embeds finding a way around the system though eh? LOL
