My other editor is using Adobe Premiere on a PC i7,
and can not read the XDCAM codec natively, so I
thought I would set up a prores timeline and export
directly to a directory on the PC.
So, there is no render going on in FCP.
I plopped all the raw footage on the prores timeline (at present 1440x1080 24p prores)
then sent it to a batch export to his drive.
I was concerned about whether the Kona2 setting was the right one.
But I'm ok......
