In Log and Capture, go to the Clip Settings tab and uncheck "Preview".

There are three tabs in Log and Capture. Clip Settings is the second tab. Been there since version 1.

I haven't captured HDV in a long time. I don't remember "Preview" being missing for HDV. Am I forgetting something?

yeah, mine doesn't look like that. Maybe I'll just look for another option. It's not life changing but would help a little.
