ProRes 422 or Photo-JPEG

Which is the best codec to use for creating the highest quality .mov from a FCP timeline? Both seem great, but is one better quality than the other? I will be conerting a standard video project to HD, so I need the best quality possible. Thanks.
MacPro Intel
FCP 6.5

"I will be conerting a standard video project to HD"

to what end?

are you delivering on tape?
then just play out to tape & up-res via a kona or blackmagic card

projecting?
a LOT depends on the projection system.
talk to the projectionist.

Nick:
Sorry I was not as clear as I could have been. This will be a theatrical release. So I have to output in SD, then convert to HD (Red Giant) for 35mm transfer. I want to make sure I have the best SD to do the HD conversion. I have converted using both ProRes 422 and Photo-JPEG and Photo-JPEG looks slightly better. Just wondering which might be the best to use in the initial phase. Any other suggestions I have not thought about would be great too, as I am unfamiliar with Kona or Blackmagic.
Thanks.

"This will be a theatrical release" "35mm transfer"

really, i would be talking to the lab or post house that is handling this.

i would suspect that he LAST number of conversions would be the best path to take.

"Photo-JPEG looks slightly better"

how are you judging this? you cant judge on a computer monitor.
