Data Recovery To New Drive. 1st time.

I use crash plan to back up my drives. I recently had a SEAGATE crash. ( never use them again)

how ever i have a 750hdd that hold back up system info.

can i just stick a new drive in the slot and push the old info to that drive?

Will final cut cross read that disk and connect my project assets?
