Does Lion break FCP 6.0.6?

Christoph-The-Magnificent, of CHV fame, told me a few weeks ago, that it does break it. But I read on (gulp) another board that it doesn't. I tend to listen to what Christoph says; and why do I want Lion anyway? Does it do anything super duper?

I'm on a Mac Pro 2,1. 8 Core vintage 2008. 8 gigs RAM. FCP 6.0.6. Currently I am running OS 10.6.7, Quicktime 7.6.6 and ProKit 7.0.

I'm ashamed to say that I don't even know if my machine is capable of running 64 bit either. Jeez. What a dope ...

Maybe the only way to find out for certain is to create a separate boot drive and try it out.

If it's not broke, why fix it? That's a very old version of FCP at this point, I would NOT even try it with Lion.

If you want to go Lion, then step up to FCP X or Adobe / Avid instead.
