It was announced yesterday that Dan Desmet, one of the four founding partners of Flanders Scientific, passed away. I am lucky to have not only have known the man and called him my friend, but he welcomed me into his own family.

It's a very sad day for me personally, but I know that Dan is very proud of the legacy that his company will carry on moving forward.
