Motion 5

Is Motion 5 a dumbed-down version like FCP X or is it better than Motion 4? I know it's 64 bit and all that but which version would you prefer to use for maximum creativity if you didn't have Adobe After Effects? Thanks for your input.

Take a look at the videos at http://www.applemotion.net That will give you a good idea how Motion 5 works. I wouldn't not say Motion 5 is dumbed-down from Motion 4. It's pretty much the same except you can't roundtrip anymore. There is about 4 other things they took away but not really a big deal. Motion 5 is made to build effects and titles for FCP X. You'll see that talked about in the videos on applemotion.net

I'll stick with Motion 4. It works.
