Codec for creating pay-per-view downloads?

I asked this question last week. No responses. Which is unusual for LAFCPUG. So perhaps it was the wording of the question?

How does one create a .mov file (or whatever format) to produce a 'disappearing' pay-per-view file? I want to establish a modest pay-per-view on a website, but haven't been able to find any info on how those files (iTunes et. al.) are created.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated,

Ben

It's not a codec you're looking for. Business models based on QuickTime are outside the scope of codecs (and this site). You need a website designer who knows about payment systems which trigger access to movies.
