Thought I'd post this here. I've been having some issues with Sequence Liner, and I'm not sure if it's user error. I am getting weird readings when the clips come back from Sequence Liner. The duration of the clips in the FCP Browser changes to something ridiculously long, such as 10 hours. I've pretty much tried it out on a few projects in the last few months, but I always seem to be getting the same issue, so I have never been able to trust it enough to use it on projects.
What I do is I have the clips in a bin, I create a sequence, and then I select the bin and the sequence, and export an XML. Then I import that in to Sequence Liner. Then I re-open the xml in FCP. This is kind of what I get (look in the 2nd column, which is duration): Before sending to Sequence Liner: After importing xml from Sequence Liner: Any idea what I did wrong? www.strypesinpost.com
Hi Gerard,
Don't know what's going wrong. Send me the XML and I'll have a look. kiel at spherico dot com Regards Andreas Some workflow tools for FCP [www.spherico.com] TitleExchange -- juggle titles within FCS, FCPX and many other apps. [www.spherico.com]
Hi folks,
Any results from this? I'm also getting strange clip lengths when I import the XML into FCP 7. I'm not getting 10+ hours clip lengths like Gerard, but instead the clips are 1-2 hours over the original clip lengths. When I view these clips in the viewer, there is black for those 1-2 hours attached to the beginning of the original vision & sound of the clip. Any help appreciated.. Pete
