Picture breaking up on broadcast monitor

Hello to all,

Went to edit, looked at my broadcast monitor and the video is breaking up when I playback the footage? In 12 years of editing I've never seen this. What's going on?

Digital distortion. Very, very common. Could be corrupted clips, could be disk fragmentation, could be simple corrupt render files. Time to do backups, drive diagnostics and such. The clip may need recapturing.

UGH!!!!! I'm on a deadline to deliver and dad is in ICU so I'm back and forth to the hospital. When it rains it pours. Okay, thanks Derek. At least now I know what I'm dealing with. Your always such a big help!!!!
