Timeline/Digitize Problem

Timeline/Digitize Problem

Something just started that has me confounded. I am digitizing standard video in FCP 7, as I have done successfully for more many years now. Several days ago, when I mark an in and an out and digitize it, when I bring it to the timeline something strange occurs. First, the clip starts with a freeze frame for about five seconds, then pops into the clip starting at where the clip would be five seconds later. When I scroll, it is the same. Next, the last four or five seconds are black on the clip. Yet, if I grab the end frame of the clip with the cursor and move it backward, the image is there in my Canvas. Any ideas why this occurs ... all of a sudden?

FCP QuickTime wackiness, maybe the capture codec mismatches your sequence, or it's captured to and playing from a filled-up drive.

Or it's that new FXPlug filter, Freeze Open/Close Black, from Digital Giggle.

Oh, rats-- that's an embroidery site!!
