uncorrect aspect ratio making an AVI in streamclipPosted by alioshka
Hi,
Well, I'm having trouble with the MPEG Streamclip probably because some configurations must be uncorrect? I have this HDV .mov files edited in Final Cut Pro 6.06, most of them 1920x1080, others 1440x1080 or other As I'll be showing those files in different computers (PC) I thought to make a copy to an universal format for PC, that's AVI, with Streamclip. My problem is that the new conversion file does not respect my aspect ratio, so whatever I select unscaled or scaled always gives me a 3:4 screen and the aspect ratio distorted and squeezed. Selected the compressor Apple HDV 1080 25p same as the original. But I guess there must be something wrong as the preview is just fine, but when I make an AVI, the final file will always be distorted. Would be greatly apreciated if anyone could give me a help. hi, thanks strypes
yesterday I posted a reply and strangely dissapeared. write again... changing the zoom proportions didn't make any difference but I found that using another compressor like cinepak the aspect ratio is just fine, but I wonder if that is a good resolution for a final copy. the destination of the video file is a projection for let's say universal projector, as I'll be showing in different projectors in different countries in southamerica. Changing a little of subject then what would be the best compressor to use? hope you can give me a little help
