.wav audio files not audible when dragged to second layer

. . . my wav audio files are not audible when dragged to the second layer down in the sequence, however the content is causing movement in the audio-levels metre. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Many thanks,
WM

Sound alike (ha, pun) it's something to do with how the tracks are combined for output. Check your System Settings.

But first check to see that you haven't muted those tracks-- there's a Mute button for each track.
