DVDSP 4 I need your advice

Greetings all. I'm bringing my editing suite into the 21st Century and buying FCPX, Compressor (4?) and Motion 5. I use a late 2011 MacBook Pro 15" 8GB RAM. Question: Have any of you out there loaded DVDSP 3 or 4 to your current generation MAC? (Post Jan. 2006) I have have DVDSP 3, and am concerned it may not work on my Intel MAC or with FCPX, same concern for DVDSP 4, (which I will purchase if it works well on the Intel MAC). I will record to physical media until they pry it from my cold, dead fingers. Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen for your considerations.

sure, DVDSP still works for me.

but specifically what hardware are you talking about, and what OS?
the bigger question would be will FCPX work?
