Desktop Production Notes (solo or crew)

Has anyone came across a system that allows one to put production tickets on your desktop?

We are getting slammed now. our production has increased by at least 30%. Now email and crm just will not do. 4 of us work in the same office and i have the heaviest load as the lead on all projects. So i have been old schooling it for my production notes with a regular note book. We meet every morning to divvy the jobs and then we become silos. When something suddenly pops up i just delegate it.

I do not think that i would need a system that is integrated over the web but i t would be nice. All i really need to do is the same thing as the chef does.. stick tickets up on my screen and punch them out when they are completed. I also need to be able to look back and be sure that certain things were done and when.

I am sure that large production houses and networks have something like this.

Merlin and SmartSheet are too much and too hard to use.
