Video compression for storage

<HTML>Hey guys,
Is there anyway i can compress my video files for storage on CD-RWs for later back-up access if i should have a drive go down on me. Many of my projects have files much larger than 650mb.

<HTML>Compressed video files do not "stuff" - Your only option is to break your larger clips into smaller chunks, which defeats the purpose of archiving the orginal source material intact. DVD-R is much better because you can fit 4.7 gigs of material on one disk.
