why do I have to render? offline RT related

Posted by Tim Becherer
I have used media manager to do a decompose (sorry for the avid terminology) a sequence orginally captured in offline RT and recaptured the new clips at the DV NTSC 48K setting...my sequence setting is also DV NTSC 48K but I have to render the whole sequence to see the recaptured clips. Why is this? shouldn't I be able to see them now with the sequence and clip settings being the same?

I'm running FinalCut HD on a G4 with OS 10.3 panther

something in your sequnce is not matching.

double check them.
maybe a frame reate, of field order?

it could also be a distortion problem.
control click on a clip and choose "remove attributes"

if distortion is a removable attrubute, remove it.
see if that fixes things.
if it does, select all the clips, and remove attribues: distortion
